If I were a month, I’d be december,
as calm, lonely and peaceful someone can be.
If I were a day of the week, I’d be friday
because if it´s friday, I would be in love
If I were a verb, I’d be “trust”
“there´s nothing more to learn”, he told me
If I were a sea animal, I’d be a turtle
half in the ocean, half at the pebbly cove
If I were an object in a living room, I’d wing chair
magnificent, glorious and old
If I were a gemstone, I’d be some snow flake
spotted, stained und pure
If I were a flower, I’d be lily of the valley
because they can reciprocate you and enfold
If I were a kind of weather, I’d be rainy, stormy night
in nights you choose between additction or injury.
If I were a color, I’d be light black
too dark for life too light for death
If I were an adjective, I’d be hurt
I thought about a story, not about a single word
If I were a fruit, I’d be a pomegranate
complicated on the inside, but simple up to sheath
If I were a sound, I would be the raindrops
which form stones like a sharp-edged sword.
If I were a hogwarts house, I’d be Rawenclaw
faithfull, bright and fair minded
If I were an element, I would be the air
lovely, but cold, beloved and spurned
If I were a word, I’d be solitude
soulful, dolorous and long-winded
If I were a taste, I’d be a far distance kiss
it is sure that you get your fingers burnt
If I were a scent, I’d be myrrh
seldom, rare and still precious
If I were an object, I’d be a pencil
´cause good things are created with simple ones.
If I were a body part, I’d be your arms
to be there is too keen, too specious
If I were a song, I’d be silence
just to hear you with all my phones.
Thanks for the great idea for that poem, Jasmin.
